Presence of God

“for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
Hebrews 4:10–13 ESV
Take rest in the presence of God. Seek Him and make time for Him. He is our living God, who will also seek you. The Bible says, “if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
When we seek Jesus in our prayer, remember that He understands your needs and desires. He is our High Priest and He wants us to seek Him.
“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:14–16 ESV
Jesus, as our Great High Priest, gave the ultimate sacrifice, Himself, for our sins so we no longer have to give daily sacrifices. Seek Him and know that He is Lord our God, King of Heaven and Earth, and is always and forever our High Priest because He is alive, forever.
“For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.”
Hebrews 7:26–28 ESV
